Discovering Your Purpose: Unlocking a Life of Fulfillment

Do you ever feel like something is missing in your life? Like you're just going through the motions without a sense of direction or meaning? You're not alone.

YOU WERE CREATED FOR A REASON

You were not created by accident. There's a reason why God created you, and it's unique to you. Even if you're an identical twin, your purpose is distinct from your sibling's.

Each of us has something that the world needs, something that God deposited inside us when He created us. You carry a solution that the world needs inside you, and it's your responsibility to find out what that solution is.

WHAT IS PURPOSE?

Purpose is the reason why something is created. The fact that you're alive is proof that you still have a purpose to fulfill on earth.

Many people are walking around without knowing why God created them. They're doing jobs that don't bring them fulfillment, and their lives revolve around routine activities like going to school, getting a job, getting married, and having children. That's not all there is to life.

God didn't create you in His image and likeness to live a simple life that revolves around you and your family. There's more to life than that.

HOW TO DISCOVER YOUR PURPOSE

1. It All Begins with God

You were created by God and for God. Until you understand that, life will never make sense. To discover your purpose, you must first seek God and His kingdom.

Matthew 6:33 says, "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Colossians 1:16 also reminds us, "For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him."

THE IMPORTANCE OF KNOWING YOUR PURPOSE

Knowing your purpose in life is what makes life meaningful. It gives you fulfillment and direction.

As Rick Warren says in "The Purpose Driven Life," "The greatest tragedy is not death, but life without purpose."

When you know your purpose, life becomes interesting. Your purpose becomes your guide to life, helping you focus on what's important.

MY PERSONAL JOURNEY

I remember my early twenties, searching for purpose. I tried various things – being a pedicurist, makeup artist, hairstylist, real estate agent, a car dealer and even modeling etc. But nothing gave me a sense of fulfillment. I began finding fulfillment in other activities like going to the cinema and spending about 4 hours daily, my desire for relationship and marriage increased all in search for purpose.

It wasn't until I sought God and began to understand His purpose for my life that I found direction and meaning.

 CONCLUSION

Discovering your purpose is a journey, not a destination. It's a process that takes time, patience, and kindness. Be gentle with yourself, and don't be afraid to make mistakes. I encourage you to start your journey today. Seek God first.
